The Research Center for Computer Science and Information Technologies was founded in 2014. As part of the Macedonian Academy, the role of the Center is to initiate and coordinate research in the scientific disciplines related to information and communication technologies (ICT) in order to improve the scientific social and economic conditions and needs in the Republic of Macedonia and beyond. The Center is a place where the activities in the various scientific disciplines including the natural, technical, social and medical sciences are realized. The basic task of the Center is to promote progress in human knowledge by developing and applying the computer science and information technology. The current research at the Center include research projects financed by several funds:
The basic fields of research include the fundamental research in dynamic systems, accounting biology and machine learning and applied research in energy and in data analysis in economics and medicine. The Center actively cooperates with numerous scientific institutions in the country and abroad. The cooperation with these institutions includes cooperation on joint research projects, specialization and training of scientific personnel, invited lecturers and exchange of literature. In the work of the Center are involved: one person in full time employment, six persons temporarily employed by Employment Agency and ten volunteers.
